Popular craft beer recalled over injury fears

Moon Dog Brewing has issued a precautionary recall for its “Son of a Plum” bottles over fears the beer cap could cause injury to the user.

The company alerted customers to the recall in a post on Facebook over the weekend.

“Please be advised that we are conducting a precautionary product recall for Son of a Plum bottles” they wrote.

“This product may have experienced a secondary fermentation in the bottle causing excessive carbonation and a risk that removal of the bottle cap could potentially result in injury.”

The affected bottles have a best before date of 15/08/2019, 16/08/2019 and 06/09/2019.

They have been available for sale at Dan Murphy’s, pubs, clubs, hotels and bottle shops in NSW, ACT, QLD, VIC, TAS, SA, WA.

“Customers should not open the bottles and should instead return the product to the place of purchase, or to the Moon Dog brewery, for a full refund.”
