Police say more arrests and charges are expected today.

“The success of this activity and on-going enforcement is likely to impact the availability of dangerous drugs in the lead up to schoolies week commencing this weekend,” Detective Inspector Brendan Smith of the Gold Coast District Criminal Investigation Branch said.

“Not only does this week’s action see dangerous drugs and weapons removed from the street and make the community safer, it sends a message to those involved in illegal drug activity that we will be unrelenting in our efforts against you. You need to change your behaviour or expect law enforcement to come through your door”.
