The Helensvale Library and Cultural Centre is encouraging Gold Coast teens to audition for their free Youth Music Venture program, which will be back by popular demand from 14 – 17 January, 2019.
The four-day condensed school holiday program will see young people aged 12-17 mentored by professional musicians in performance skills, songwriting and sound production before they take to the stage in a showcase concert.
Youth Music Venture Founder and President, Ian Grace, said he was thrilled to see the program return even bigger and better as it enters its tenth year.

“Since its inception in 2010, the volunteer run Youth Music Venture has seen more than 300 young people come through the program, using the power of music to inspire them to build their self-esteem and overcome the challenges of young lives,” said Mr Grace.
“We welcome all local youth to join our January program where they will not only learn new skills on their instrument of choice and gain confidence performing in a band, but make new friends,” he said.
“In 2019, auditions will be online – after you register you will be contacted to send us a video or audio clip of you singing or playing your instrument.”
The Youth Music Venture is calling for all musicians aged 12 – 17 with a basic musical understanding to participate in the January program. For more details, including registration for the free program, visit: youthmusicventure.com.au.
