AN emergency has been declared north of the Gold Coast after a gas bottle was punctured at an aged care facility.
Police made the declaration under the Public Safety Preservation Act around 2pm after a commercial gas bottle was damaged at an aged care facility on Glenbrook Drive, Nambour.
The declaration is bounded by Glenbrook Drive, Westbrook Drive, Imagination Drive, and Jack Street.

Officer’s say there have been no evacuations, however residents in the aged care facility and surrounding areas have been asked to remain indoors while emergency services respond to the situation.
