Qld man charged with leaving puppy to die in hot ute

A QUEENSLAND man will face court, accused of leaving a German Shepherd puppy alone in a hot ute, leading to the animal’s death.

It’s alleged the 45-year-old spent hours in a pub in Coffs Harbour on the afternoon of Wednesday November 28, while his dog suffered a painful, yet avoidable, death.

The one-year-old was allegedly left in the locked Holden ute, with no access to water.

Members of the public made the horrific discovery and phoned emergency services, but the pup could not be saved.

The Queensland man is due to appear at Coffs Harbour Local Court next year, on animal cruelty charges.
