A detective sergeant from the Ethical Standards Command has been stood down from official duty with the Queensland Police Service.
The 41-year-old is the subject of an investigation into allegations of committing domestic violence.
Queensland Police said the officer will be tasked to perform non-operational duties while the investigation is underway.

“In keeping with our commitment to high standards of behaviour, transparency and accountability, we have undertaken to inform the public when an officer faces serious allegations of misconduct,” they said in a statement.
“This does not mean that the allegations against the officer have been substantiated.”
