A Queensland Police officer has been stood down from official duty after assault allegations.
The 48-year-old male sergeant from the Brisbane Region will now be tasked to perform non-operational duties.
It’s alleged the officer assaulted another officer.

In a release sent out this morning, police say the allegations are yet to be substantiated.
“In keeping with our commitment to high standards of behaviour, transparency and accountability, we have undertaken to inform the public when an officer faces serious allegations of misconduct,” the release reads.
