A curious pup named Penny has been rescued after becoming trapped beneath the ground in Tweed Heads.
It’s understood the adventurous pet was exploring a hole underneath a bridge when she became stuck.
Fire and Rescue NSW used a search camera to locate Penny beneath the ground before carefully lifting her to safety.

The mischievous pup, who luckily managed to escape uninjured, has since been reunited with her relieved owner.
