Rescue crews work to free hang glider stuck in tree
UPDATE @ 4.30PM Crews have managed to rescue a hang glider after she became stuck in a tree at Tamborine Mountain for four hours.
The woman crashed into the tree just after 12.30pm.
Fire crews rushed to the scene as they tried to find a way to get her down.

The rescue operation was hampered by storms that swept across the area this afternoon.
The woman is now being assessed by paramedics by she doesn’t appear to be suffering any serious injuries.

EARLIER @ 1.30PM Rescue crews are desperately working to free a hang glider stuck in a tree at Tamborine Mountain before heavy rain hits.
It’s understood the woman, whose age is not known, crashed into the tree off Main Western Road around 12.30pm.
It’s believed the woman is stuck about 20m up in the air, with the rescue operation deemed ‘difficult’.
Two Queensland Ambulance crews are at the scene, alongside other emergency services and an arborist.
A QAS spokesperson told myGC that the hang glider is not believed to have suffered any serious injuries, however she is yet to be assessed by paramedics.
Storms are expected to lash the area within the next 45 minutes.
