Gold Coaster Ryan James has officially been unveiled as the new captain of the Titans.
The Bilambil junior had previously been the club’s co-captain alongside Kevin Proctor.
James took over the captaincy full time after Proctor’s cocaine scandal last year.

The forward, who’s likely to play in the back row this season, said it’s the greatest honour he could have.
“I’ve said many times what the Titans means to me and nothing has changed,” James said.
“This club is all I know and I’m so passionate about the team, the people involved and the whole region.
“We’ve had a number of changes over time but I’m truly excited about 2018 and what we can do as a club.”
Titans new coach Garth Brennan said there will be a strong leadership group.
“He’ll have Kevin Proctor and Nathan Peats to lean on and I know the three of them have spoken about how they can contribute to taking this club forward,” he said.
Brennan has previously said how he’s urging Ash Taylor to lead the side on the field.
They’ll get their first chance on March 11 when Gold Coast hosts the Canberra Raiders.
