Following a major air, sea and land search yesterday, their boat, a blue 3.3m aluminium tinnie, was found by Water Police submerged in waters of Green Island at around 5pm.

Life jackets and fishing rods were also found during the search.

“A number of items have been found in the water in the near vicinity of where the vessel was located yesterday afternoon,” Queensland Police said.<

“Some of the items included life jackets and fishing rods, hand lines, that type of equipment.”

It comes after their car and boat trailer were found abandoned at the white Island Boat Ramp, where they left it on Saturday morning.
