THE Seaway2Seaway charity walk has kicked off this morning.
The annual event was founded in 2013, and raises funds for crisis centres and families in need.
Walkers will travel up to 35 kilometres from the Southport Spit to the famed surf breaks at Duranbah.

Founder and Gold Coast Mayoress Ruth Tate hopes this year will see more walkers than last year.
“The event is a great way to get outside, see the beautiful Gold Coast in Spring with the family and raise money for families in need,” she said.
The walk began at 5:30am this morning, with locals encouraged to jump on or off the track at any point.
