Health officials have confirmed a second case of coronavirus on the Gold Coast.

A 42-year-old woman has tested positive to the virus following tests.

She is the eighth confirmed case in Australia,

The Chinese national was in the same tour group as a 44-year-old man who tested positive on Wednesday.

The woman from Wuhan, the epicentre of the virus, is in isolation at the Gold Coast University Hospital and is in a stable condition.

Seven other people in the tour group are also in isolation at the Uni Hospital.

It comes as health officials continue to try and track down passengers on the group’s flight from Melbourne to the Gold Coast.

Reason I should not be concerned ?,the Wuhan express passed through the cap coast last week most with masks but hanging out of the bus taking pics of the heat or humidity not real sure. Next day immediately felt flue like symptoms may be just man flue but after witnessing that I’m not real sure. It ties in with aircraft movements into BNE I need to know if any stupid tour groups in fact headed this way
