Senior Constable suspended from duty with Qld Police Service

A DETECTIVE Senior Constable from the Queensland Police Service State Crime Command has officially been suspended from duty.

The 44-year-old male officer was previously stood down and tasked to perform non-operational duties.

It comes as he’s being investigated regarding access of the QPrime computer system for a “purpose unrelated to official duties, releasing information, failing to take reasonable action, failing to declare an association and untruthfulness.”

In a statement, Queensland Police said these allegations have not been substantiated.

“In keeping with our commitment to high standards of behaviour, transparency and accountability, we have undertaken to inform the public when an officer faces serious allegations of misconduct” the statement said.

“This does not mean the allegations against the officer have been substantiated.”
