Things got super awkward on the Sunrise set this morning when Kristen Davis popped in for a chat.
The Sex And The City star is in Australia as a guest of the Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras and is doing media to promote her work with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.
However the 50 year-old didn’t really get to talk much about her work with the UNHCR while appearing on Sunrise, with hosts Kochie and Sam Armitage asking the actress question after question about Sex And The City.

Davis was also forced to watch back a scene from the Sex And The City movie where her character Charlotte was experiencing explosive diarrhoea. She was clearly not impressed, and told the hosts to stop airing the footage.
But her humiliation was not over yet, with Sam leading her across the studio to meet fellow Sunrise hosts Natalie Barr and Edwina Bartholomew who were sat at a table dressed up as Sex and the City characters Miranda and Samantha. Davis was then encouraged to read through a scene of the hit show with the three hosts – something which she clearly didn’t want to do.

After it was all over, Davis told the hosts: “This is a first, ladies, I just want you to know that I have never done this.” She then added: “Ahhh… I don’t know that this is a great idea, frankly.” After she was allowed to leave the Sunrise set, Davis took to Twitter to express her displeasure with the skit, replying to a tweet by Sunrise (which has now been deleted).
