THE winners of the very first season of Love Island Australia have confirmed they’re no longer a couple after just two weeks in the real world.
Tayla Damir broke the news to her Instagram followers on Thursday, confirming it was trust issues between her and her on-screen lover Grant Crapp that lead to the shock split.
The 21-year-old said it was a “very emotional and overwhelming” decision, but said she needed to “stay completely true” to herself.

“I want to take the time to thank everyone who supported Grant and I during our Love Island journey and especially everyone who has continued to support us since,” Damir wrote.
“It has been incredible so far and I feel lucky and privileged to have had the opportunity.
“The number one thing for me going into Love Island was to ‘stay completely true to myself and my emotions’ and that’s what I must continue to do.
“But it’s with great heartbreak that I write this post to inform everyone that Grant and I are no longer together, but will remain amicable despite the circumstances.
“I hope everyone can understand that the last few days have been very emotional and overwhelming for me and that you can all respect my decision.”
The pair took home $50,000 after winning the first season of the popular reality TV series which was filmed in Mallorca, Spain this year.
Runners up Eden and Erin appear to be going strong on the outside, with the pair both sharing loved-up couple shots online.
