THE Gold Coast could see a little rain over the next day or two with the Bureau of Meteorology forecasting showers and thunderstorms for the next 48 hours.
Showers are this afternoon affecting some parts of the hinterland as the system responsible edges closer towards the Coast.
Tomorrow, instability will increase over the area as an upper trough moves north into southern Queensland.

The Bureau has forecast a 90 per cent of showers and a storm for the Gold Coast, with anywhere up to 15mm tipped to fall across the city.
