A FIRE in Cunungra continues to burn today and will likely bring smoke across parts of the Gold Coast.
The Rural Fire Service Queensland is currently working with the Australian Defence Force to monitor the vegetation fire burning in inaccessible land, which sparker on Sunday at the Kokoda Barracks in Canungra.
ADF crews are monitoring the blaze from the ground, while rural services are looking at it from the air.

They say water bombing is not possible at this stage with the area very difficult to gain access to.
Smoke will affect suburbs including Canungra, Lower Beechmont, Witherin and Advancetown.
Residents are advised to keep windows and doors closed and keep medications close by for any respiratory conditions.
Motorists are urged to use caution where smoke is affecting road visibility.
The Fire Service is urging resident who may feel their property is at threat to phone Triple Zero (000) immediately.
