Snake bites woman on both legs in Logan

A WOMAN has been rushed to hospital after being bitten by a snake on both legs.

It’s understood the woman was repeatedly struck by the slithering serpent at a house on Kirk Road in Chambers Flat.

A Queensland Ambulance crew was called to the scene just before 7am on Wednesday.

The woman was treated at the property by paramedics before being taken to Logan Hospital in a stable condition.

A QAS spokesperson said the snake involved is suspected to have been a carpet snake.

I am a snake catcher and reptile carer i am curious as to why you think this story is even news. We as a group work very hard to educate the public that carpet pythons are not dangerous . If you leave them alone they will not as you say attack. It would be great if put a positive story up for once. And to go to hospital for a python really ? If you need facts do some research contact my rescue group if you need or just make it up to sensationalise as the media quite often does.
