Stabbing victim ‘chased up and down street’

A MAN has been stabbed and chased up and down a street by his alleged attacker on the Gold Coast.

Police were called to the scene of the incident on Dowling Drive in Southport just after 2.30pm.

It’s understood a woman allegedly stabbed the man, aged in his 30s, in the neck with a pair of scissors before chasing him around the block, wielding the weapon.

There are reports the man was attacked on Smith Street before being chased around to Dowling Drive.

A witness to the incident told News Corp they watched in disbelief as the woman allegedly chased the man “up and down the street three or four times”.

A Queensland Ambulance spokesperson said the man sustained a puncture wound to his face and was transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
