CRICKET Australia has announced that Steven Smith has been appointed Vice Captain of the Australian Test team.
The decision follows Michael Clarke’s absence due to back and hamstring injuries.
It was alleged that Brad Haddin, wicketkeeper and current vice captain would be appointed the captaincy, however Cricket Australia threw Smith straight into the role, with the future in mind.
