Student stabbed in schoolyard attack

A SCHOOLGIRL has been stabbed, allegedly by another student at a private school in Adelaide.

It happened at St Dominic’s Priory College, an all-girl’s catholic school in North Adelaide just after 3pm.

SA Police released a statement a short time ago, confirming that “a student was allegedly stabbed in the shoulder by a girl inside the school grounds”.

The injured girl was treated by ambulances crews for what police said was a “minor injury”.

The school was placed into lock-down during the incident, and multiple police units rushed to the scene.

“Police patrols are currently speaking with the alleged suspect,” SA Police said in their statement.

The ages of the students involved in the incident are not known.
