70 surf rowing crews from around Queensland have flocked to Tugan beach.
The 4th round of the Navy Australian Surf Rowers League series takes place on Saturday, with the finals at 1pm.
Divisions of surfboat racing include everything from under 19s to the Masters.

The race is 400 metres long and includes wet starts, meaning crews will be looking to make it through the break as quick as possible to set themselves up for a strong finish.
The Navy series also acts as the local qualifying for the chance to represent Queensland at the ASRL Interstate Championships at Stockton, NSW in February.
