A Gold Coast junior AFL club has taken out the March round of the Smiles All Round Sports Club Grants.
The Surfers Paradise AFL Club scored $2500 after securing the highest number of votes on the myGC.com.au website last month.

“We are very excited! Money is tight, so this grant will be put to good use,” she said.
“Firstly, we are going to upskill our coaches. They will undertake a Mental Health Awareness Course, which will help them support our young players with their mental health.
“We will also be investing in some portable spotlights for our training fields, as well as some equipment.”
The Surfers Paradise AFL Club has junior boys teams from Under 8’s through to Under 16’s, as well as Junior Girls Under 11’s, Under 13’s and Under 15’s teams.
