Surprise! Princess Beatrice marries in secret wedding ceremony

UPDATE @ July 19 | The Royal Family has released stunning photos from Princess Beatrice’s surprise wedding, and they’re absolutely amazing!

Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi were married in a quiet, secret ceremony in Windsor, with Buckingham Palace confirming the wedding in front of 20 guests on Friday morning.

The Royal Family has now released photos from the event, and they’re beautiful!

“Congratulations to HRH Princess Beatrice and Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi! The couple were married in a small private ceremony at the Royal Chapel of All Saints at Royal Lodge, Windsor on Friday 17th July,” the Instagram post reads.

“Princess Beatrice and Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi celebrated their wedding with their closest family.‬

“The happy couple are pictured with Her Majesty The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh.

“Princess Beatrice wore a vintage dress by Norman Hartnell and the Queen Mary diamond fringe tiara, both belonging to Her Majesty The Queen.

“The tiara was worn by Her Majesty on her wedding day in 1947,” the post reads.


EARLIER @ July 18 | Some exciting news for royal fans this morning, with the surprise announcement that Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi have married in a secret ceremony in Windsor.

Buckingham Palace confirmed the newly-weds tied the knot in front of 20 guests on Friday morning.

The private ceremony took place at The Royal Chapel of All Saints at Royal Lodge, with The Queen, Prince Andrew and a small number of family members present.

The couple had initially planned to get married in May, but were forced to delay the wedding due to the coronavirus crisis.

It comes after Beatrice and Edoardo announced their engagement in 2019.

“I’m so excited to announce my engagement to Edo,” the 31-year-old wrote on Twitter.

The property tycoon also expressed his love, writing “You will never be alone my love, my heart is your home. Hand in hand, today, tomorrow and forever.”

Congratulations to the newly-weds!
