‘Suspicious fire’ destroys Queensland house

FIRE INVESTIGATORS are at the scene of a suspicious house fire in Logan.

Emergency services were called to the double-storey Crestmead home around 12.25am on Monday to find the building well-alight.

Police have confirmed the Hakari Street property was destroyed in the blaze, which they believe was deliberately lit.

Qld Fire Emergency Service (QFES) remained on the scene for a number of hours to ensure the fire was completely extinguished.

A crime scene has been declared and QPS and QFES will complete a joint forensic examination.
