Surf Life Savers immediately began performing CPR on the man until paramedics arrived.

Sadly though, there was nothing that ambulance officers could do to save the man.

It’s understood paramedics worked on the man for more than 30 minutes but he could not be revived.

The man, believed to be aged in his 60s, died before he could be transported to hospital.

It’s believed the man may have suffered a heart attack while in the water.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.

Tragically, it’s the second drowning at Noosa in four days.

Lindsay Connolly, 30, died after being pulled from the water at nearby Dolphin Point on Monday.
