Sydney Swans make the AFL grand final

THE Sydney Swans have steamrolled their way into the 2014 AFL grand final.

Despite Sydney’s opening goal not coming for the first 16 minutes, they comfortably beat the Kangaroos 136 to 65.

Coach John Longmire says Sam Reid will have to have his knee checked as a result of a heavy first-quarter collision.

Meanwhile the win means Adam Goodes has a chance to become the Swan’s first three-time premiership winner.

He marked his 350th game with three goals and 17 possessions.

It is the fourth grand final Sydney has played in the last ten years.

The 71 point win means the Swans will now face either Hawthorn or Port Adelaide in the grand final.
