Teen arrested after bus driver attacked with knife

A BUS driver has been taken to hospital after being slashed across the side of the head with a knife during an attack in Sydney’s west.

It’s alleged an 18-year-old man lashed out at the driver with a knife at Blacktown Railway Station before fleeing on foot about 1.30pm.

Police and paramedics were called and found the bus driver with a laceration to his ear.


The driver, aged in his 30s, was taken by ambulance to Westmead Hospital for treatment.

A short time after the incident, the 18-year-old attended Blacktown Hospital where he was arrested by police.

He was taken to Blacktown Police Station where he remains this afternoon, assisting police with their inquiries.
