Teen delivery driver killed in freak accident

A TEENAGE boy has been run over and killed by his own car in a freak accident on the NSW Central Coast.

The 18-year-old was at work, delivering pizzas in Gwandalan when tragedy struck on Saturday night.

Police said the teen was struck by his own car after it started rolling when he pulled over and got out to make a delivery on Billbabourie Road about 7.45pm.

Paramedics worked hard to try and save the teen, but his injuries were too severe and he died at the scene.

Police from the Tuggerah Lakes Police District are investigating the circumstances surrounding the tragedy and will prepare a report for the information of the Coroner.
