Teen dies after crashing trail bike into power pole

A 16-year-old boy has sadly died in a horror trail bike crash in NSW.

The fatal accident happened about 5.15pm on Monday, when the teen was riding his trailbike north along a dirt track that runs parallel to Borthwick Street in Inverell.

Police said that at the intersection of Borthwick Street and Eugene Street the rider crashed into a power pole and suffered critical injuries.


Emergency crews rushed to the scene and commenced CPR before the boy was taken to Inverell Hospital.

Sadly, he could not be revived.

An investigation is now underway.
