TWO members of a local ‘hooning group’ have been arrested in a series of raids at Gilston.
Gold Coast Rapid Action Patrols swooped on the properties on Tuesday after receiving a tip off.
“As a result of information received, officers executed a search warrant on two separate Gilston addresses where two men were taken into custody,” police said in a statement.

At one of the properties, police allegedly located a huge stash of tyres, suspected of being being stolen from a tyre shop at Nerang in April.
An 18-year-old man from Gilston was charged with enter premises alternative receive and stealing alternative receive stolen property.
At the other property, officers uncovered a collection of 14 knives which were seized by police.
An 18-year-old man from Gilston has been given a notice to appear for the offence of possession of Category M weapons.
Both men are due to appear in Southport Magistrates Court on August 24.
Senior Sergeant Mat Kelly from the Gold Coast Rapid Action Patrol said police will continue to focus to target the local hooning group and appealed for anyone with information about the group to contact police.
