Teenage girl loses fight for life after horror car crash

A 13-year-old girl has died in hospital, ten days after she was critically injured in a horror car crash in NSW.

The accident happened on Limekilns Road at Wattle Flat, in the state’s Central West, just before 11am on Friday 12 October.

Police said its understood the car left the roadway and hit a tree.


The driver, an 18-year-old woman, and her two female passengers, aged 15 and 16, were taken to Bathurst Hospital with minor injuries.

The 13-year-old girl, who police say was sitting in the back seat, was taken to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead suffering critical injuries.

Sadly, she passed away in hospital on Wednesday.

Investigations to determine the circumstances surrounding the crash are ongoing.
