UPDATE: TWO teenagers have been arrested after two women were allegedly attacked with a machete over an unpaid $9000 debt on the Gold Coast this morning.
It’s alleged a friend of the women – aged 24 and 18 – invited them to a Holland Court house at Broadbeach Waters around 4.30am where they were confronted by a group of men.
After an altercation inside the house, police said the men chased the women outside with a machete and attacked them on the street.

One woman had her wrist slashed and front tooth knocked out during the frightening few minutes.
The men also rendered the woman’s vehicle immobile, slashing its tyres and smashing its windows.
Left bleeding and trembling, the young women managed to run into a bunch of bushes where they hid for around an hour before running into a 7/11 two kilometres away where they sought refuge and called police.
Multiple police crews responded and later stormed the Holland Ct home where they allegedly found a large knife matching the description of that used in the attack and detained two teenage boys aged 18 and 19.
They’ve both been taken into police custody. No charges have yet been laid.
Hayley Webb from Nine Gold Coast News said the fight erupted over an unpaid $9000 loan allegedly lent to one of the women to purchase a car.
Police said early police investigations indicated those involved are known to each other.
Investigations are continuing.
EARLIER, Rebecca Dakin reported a woman had taken refuge in a Broadbeach Waters convenience store after claiming she was attacked by three men with a machete.
At the time, a Queensland Police spokesperson said the woman was approached by the trio while she was sitting in her car around 6:15am.
It was reported the woman was taken to hospital with a laceration to her wrist and reportedly had a few teeth knocked out.
