IT’S been another successful day for the Australian Commonwealth Games team in Glasgow.
Australia’s won another trifecta, this time in the men’s 200m backstroke final. Mitch Larkin touched first, followed by Josh Beaver and Matson Lawson.
Cate Campbell won the 100 metres freestyle after surviving a scare from her fast-finishing sister Bronte. IT was another trifecta for the Australian team, with the sisters finishing 1st and 2nd, and Emma Mckeon coming in third.

Australia’s Warren Potent has also picked up Gold, in a tense shooting battle against India in the men’s prone rifle.
In other results the Coast’s Cameron McEvoy has qualified fastest for the 50-metre semi-finals in Glasgow.
James Magnussen was fourth quickest into the semis while fellow Aussie Maddie Groves qualified fastest for the 200m butterfly final.
Melissa Breen is out of the running for the women’s 100m final after finishing fifth in her semi.
Australia still leads the medal tally with 29 gold medals ahead of England’s 26.
Meanwhile Australian hockey player Jayde Taylor has had another royal run-in after the Queen photo-bombed her selfie four days ago.
This time she has managed to snap a photo with Prince Harry after a three-nil win over England.
