Three injured in separate M1 crashes
THREE people have been taken to hospital after eight cars collided in two separate smashes on the M1 this morning.
The first accident happened in the southbound lanes at Holland Park West. Police said three cars collided in the ‘fast lane’ about 6.30am.
It’s understood one vehicle lost control, flipped and collided with two other cars. Fortunately, no one was seriously hurt.

One person was taken to the PA Hospital in a stable condition.
Shortly after, five cars collided in the southbound lanes at Rochedale South. It happened just before 7am.
Two people from that accident were taken to Logan Hospital in a stable condition. Their injuries are not known.
At the time of writing, paramedics were responding to a third multi-vehicle crash, this time at MacGregor, near Upper Mount Gravatt.
It’s understood a number of cars have come to grief in the southbound lanes.
The Friday morning carnage comes on the last day of Queensland’s Roads Safety Week.
