Three kids among nine injured in horror crash on Qld highway

NINE people, including three children, have been rushed to hospital after a serious crash on the D’Aguilar Highway overnight.

Emergency crews were called to Wamuran just after 8pm, following reports multiple people have been injured in a two car crash.

It’s understood a vehicle was heading east on the highway when it collided with another vehicle in the opposite direction.

Six adults and three children were treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to the Lady Cilento Hospital, Princess Alexandra Hospital and the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.

Three are in a critical condition.

The highway was blocked in both directions whilst emergency services responded to the incident with the highway re-opening at about 11pm.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
