Toddler critical after being hit by car

A three-year-old boy is in a critical condition after being hit by a car in Sydney’s west.

The toddler was struck on Kibo Road at Regents Park just before 6.00pm last night.

Emergency crews rushed to the scene and treated the youngster before taking him to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead in a critical condition.

The driver of the car, a man aged in his 50s, was taken to Auburn Hospital for mandatory blood and urine testing.

A crime scene has been established at the crash site with investigations ongoing.
