Tomahawk robbery on the Sunshine Coast

Police are on the hunt for a man armed with a tomahawk this morning, after he allegedly held up a Sunshine Coast business last night.

The man, believed to be in his 30s, threatened staff at a coffee shop at Caloundra just before 9pm.

He got away with a small sum of cash, dressed in a black hooded jumper with white text on it and white jeans.

He’s also believed to have a tanned complexion, a solid build and a black beard.

Police are urging anyone with information to come forward about the robbery.
