Trail of blood leads to discovery of house-sitter’s body

Mystery surrounds the death of a man in Brisbane, with detectives scouring the house where his body was found.

Officers arrived at the Hoff Street residence in Mount Gravatt East at 9.30pm on Sunday.

According to Nine News, the 33-year-old had been house-sitting and his parents became concerned when they couldn’t get in touch with him.

Someone with keys to the house went to check on the man, making the grim discovery.

It’s believed he had suffered major head injuries and there was “a trail of blood in the kitchen”.

A crime scene has been declared and investigations by detectives and forensic officers are continuing.
