The Tugun Bypass tunnel will be shut for two nights, as essential three-monthly maintenance works are carried out.
Between 7.00pm and 5.00am tonight (May 22) and tomorrow night (May 23), the tunnel will be blocked off to motorists in both directions.
Traffic diversions will be put in place, with northbound traffic diverted a the Kennedy Drive off-ramp, with southbound traffic re-entering the highway at the Kennedy Drive on-ramp.

Then on Thursday night, traffic will be diverted via the Gold Coast Highway.
Motorists are being urged to allow up to 10 minutes travel time for both directions.
Roads and Maritime Services will carry out the maintenance, which will involve a range of activities such as inspecting the various operating and safety systems.
