Our stunning Tweed Coast will be on show come October, when more than 150 delegates converge for the 2018 Australian Regional Tourism (ART) Convention.
It’s the first time the region has hosted the event, which is seen as the perfect opportunity to showcase the area’s business event capabilities to high-profile visitors.
“With our state-of-the art business facilities, fresh local produce, beautiful beaches and World Heritage rainforest, we are delighted that the spotlight will be on Tweed,” Member for Tweed Geoff Provest said in a statement.

“With the Tweed welcoming almost two million international and domestic overnight and day trip visitors over the past year, the 2018 ART Convention will be a great way to show delegates, first-hand, why the region has such great appeal for visitors,” Mr Provest added.
“We want as many conference organisers as possible to know that the Tweed is a fantastic place to do business and the more overnight visitors we can attract to the Tweed, the more heads on hotel beds, diners in restaurants and shoppers in boutiques, all driving the local economy.”
The annual ART Convention provides a forum to discuss, debate and investigate issues, challenges and opportunities facing regional tourism and will be in the Tweed from 23 – 25 October.
