Twitter is now allowing staff to work from home ‘forever’

Soooo, how do we get a job interview at Twitter?!

The social media giant has announced it’s letting all of their employees to continue working from home forever, if they wish to do so.

The company, whose headquarters is based in San Francisco, was one of the first to go to a work from home model as soon as the coronavirus pandemic began.

“But we don’t anticipate being one of the first to return to offices,” the company said in a post on its blog.

“We were uniquely positioned to respond quickly and allow folks to work from home given our emphasis on decentralization and supporting a distributed workforce capable of working from anywhere,” the post continued.

“The past few months have proven we can make that work.

“So if our employees are in a role and situation that enables them to work from home and they want to continue to do so forever, we will make that happen.”

However, for those who prefer working in a physical office surrounded by co-workers, that will still be an option.

“Our offices will be their warm and welcoming selves, with some additional precautions, when we feel it’s safe to return,” Twitter said.

“Opening offices will be our decision, when and if our employees come back, will be theirs.”
