Two dead in fiery light aircraft crash in NSW

TWO people have been killed after their light aircraft plummeted into a paddock near Orange in NSW.

Emergency services were called to a location on Forest Road at Spring Hill around midday, after receiving reports a recreational light aircraft had crashed and burst into flames.

Upon arrival, officers found the bodies of two people, who are yet to be identified.

Police, with the assistance from the Australian Sports Rotorcraft Association, are investigating the cause of the crash.

The Australian Transport Safety Bureau has also been notified of the incident.
