Two dead in Gold Coast drug overdose

TWO men have died after reportedly overdosing on drugs in an apartment on the Gold Coast.

Paramedics were called to a unit on Nundah Avenue at Miami about 7.30pm last night.

It’s understood ambulance officers arrived to find two men unresponsive inside the unit.

Sadly, despite their best efforts to save the pair, the men could not be revived and died at the scene.

Speaking to myGC, police confirmed the deaths and said they were not being treated as suspicious.

It’s understood the two men had gone to the Nundah Ave unit to purchase and consume drugs.

It was not immediately known how old the men were, or what drug it was they ingested.

Police will prepare a report for the information of the Coroner.
