A YOUNG driver who allegedly smashed into a taxi injuring two people whist evading police on the Gold Coast at the weekend will face court today.
It’s alleged police conducting foot patrols of an underground car park at Broadbeach on Saturday night attempted to intercept a vehicle around 10pm.
Police said the officers were forced to take evasive action to avoid being run down after the vehicle sped off onto Elizabeth Street where it collided with a taxi, leaving two occupants with minor injuries.
