UPDATE | Man charged over armed robbery of Nerang service station

UPDATE @ July 13, 11.40 AM | A MAN has been charged over the terrifying armed robbery of a service station in Nerang on Wednesday.

Just before 8.00pm, the man entered the servo on Riverview Road and threatened a female staff member with a knife.

The woman ran to the back of the store and locked herself in a room, while the man allegedly helped himself to some cigarettes before leaving the store.

Following investigations, police arrested and charged a 34-year-old Wynnum West man with armed robbery.

He is due to face Southport Magistrates Court tomorrow.
