URGENT RECALL: Frozen meals recalled over Salmonella fears

An urgent recall has been issued for a number of frozen meals due to a link to Salmonella.

The recall for the Core Powerfoods frozen meals was posted on the Food Standards Australia website over the weekend.

It includes the 310g and 350g Going Nuts, Deep South Chilli, Muay Thai Meatballs, Holy Meatballs, Naked Chicken, Seismic Chicken, Old School, and Smokey Mountain Meatballs.

The frozen meals have been available for sale at Coles stores across the country as well as IGAs in NSW, ACT, VIC and NT, and Independent retailers in NSW, ACT, QLD, VIC, SA, NT and WA.

“Food products contaminated with Salmonella Weltevreden may cause illness if consumed,” the recall notice reads.

We’re being urged to return any of the meals with best before dates between the 26th of August and 4th of October 2020 to the place of purchase for a full refund.
