Walk With Us stroll away with $2000 Sunshine Automotive Community Fund donation

Walk With Us are thrilled after taking home a $2000 donation from the Sunshine Automotive Community Fund.

The local not-for-profit organisation beat out 28 other community groups in the running for the cash, after they secured the highest number of votes in the November round on the myGC.com.au website.

On Thursday afternoon the some members of the Walk With Us team were on hand to receive the giant cheque at Sunshine Automotive.

Walk With Us co-founder Nikki Luke said the organisation was so excited to score the donation. “Thank you so, so, so, so much! It’s unbelievable to receive this donation – we are just so happy,” Nikki told myGC.

“The money will go a long way and will help with our Christmas lunch where we will be feeding 200 homeless people, domestic violence victims, mental health patients and lonely Gold Coasters on Christmas Eve. We will be able to use the money to buy food, drinks, children’s entertainment activities and presents for every guest.”

If you are involved in a local community group, sporting club or not-for-profit organisation and would love to receive a $2000 donation, sign-up to the November round of the Sunshine Automotive Community Fund today.
