Wanted man found in chest freezer

A WANTED man has been found by police, hiding in a chest freezer at a house on the NSW North Coast.

The 28-year-old was wanted on four oustanding warrants after allegedly stealing a firearm and three vehicles during an aggravated break and enter at Armatree in February.

After receiving a tip-off from the public, officers attended a house on Shores Drive on Tuesday morning where they found the man hiding in a chest freezer.


The man was arrested and taken to Grafton Police Station where he was charged in relation to the B&E.

He was remanded in custody overnight and due to appear in Grafton Local Court today.
